conflate

VERB combine (two or more texts, ideas, etc.) into one. "the urban crisis conflates a number of different economic and social issues"
This is a very easy word to incorporate into your vocabulary. I heard this word at work when someone received two emails about a similar topic. When she was talking about the email, she combined parts of both emails by mistake. When we realized her error, she said, "I conflated those two messages". Basically, she combined the info in each email into one message. In this case, that was not the right thing to do, since the information was similar, but separate. The example used above in the definition section notes a bit of a different combination, where several items come together in more of a partnership.
