I think we can all agree that 2020 was an inconvenient shithole of a year. It was the worst year ever for some, and a mere ripple in the waves for others.
But, it's 2021 now, and time to make some decisions about how you are going to tackle this new year. A coworker asked if I had any new year's resolutions, and I wanted to say that I am going to be the same caustic, witty, sarcastic bitch that I was this year, but the work environment didn't seem like the right place. So, I just said that I was committed to staying the same hardened, snarky wench I have worked diligently to become.
In 2020, I had a lot of screen time, and I want to change that in 2021. Read more. Journal more. Spend more time with friends and family, even if it means online (I won't count that as screen time). Basically reach out to more people, more often. And I want to get to know my coworkers better. I think there are some really good people that I have become a part of, and I'd like to form some relationships with them.
And maybe continue a few things that I started in 2020. Going to the gym. Cooking healthy meals at home. Continue to make the podcast fun, interesting, and a fun place for people to go when they need a bite-sized bookish chuckle.
And maybe drink more water. But, I don't want to push it.
Happy New Year!!
